Congratulations Thunderbirds Gold on a strong finish!!!

Congratulations to the VUSC Thunderbirds Gold U12 girls soccer team for finishing 8-0-0 in their NorCal Premier League Silver Division.

Thunderbirds Gold take home second place at the Boca Copa Del Rey Soccer tournament to finish out their season.  They started off the tournament with a 1-1 tie against San Juan White, and battled a tough Placer Alliance team eventually falling 4-3.  They would bounce back against Boca 99G and win in a shootout to make it to the finals.  The finals would be a rematch against Placer Alliance.  Both teams battled hard, and were struggling to break through.  Placer was able to take advantage of a couple of good breaks and would defeat the Thunderbirds 3-0.  Good Job Thunderbirds Gold.

Thunderbirds Gold take home 3rd place in Ripon

The Thunderbirds Gold took home 3rd place at the Ajax Invitational in Ripon.  The Thunderbirds started off with a 3-1 defeat to Orchard Valley, but would bounce back to defeat the Manteca Red Devils 3-1.  The Thunderbirds would make it to the Semi Finals with a tough 8am game against Ajax.  The Thunderbirds led throughout the game 2-1, but would allow Ajax to tie the score before the end of regulation.  The Thunderbirds would fall in a shootout 3-2.  They would take out their frustration against the Inter Rage Pride and take home 3rd place with a 8-0 victory.  Good job ladies.

Thunderbirds have good showing at Placer tournament

The Thunderbirds Gold team played strong at the Placer Prestige Cup tournament recently.  The Thunderbirds Gold would start off dominating a Placer United Black team, but were unable to find the net, and had to settle for a 0-0 tie.  They played a very strong premier division team in the Mustang Velocity ultimately losing 4-1.  They would bounce back and play a strong game against Mill Valley leading most of the game 2-0, but Mill Valley was able to break through with two late goals to end in a tie.  Good job ladies.

Thunderbirds just fall short of Championship game in Diablo!

The Thunderbirds Gold team went undefeated in the Diablo FC Summer Classic.  They would just fall short of the Championship match on a tie breaker by one point.  The Thunderbirds Gold started things off with a 1-1 tie against the Walnut Creek Fury.  They would then defeat the Livermore Fusion Black 3-0 to make it to the Semi-finals against Diablo FC 98.  The Thunderbirds were able to hold off a very skilled Diablo team and the game would end in a 0-0 draw.  Good job ladies.
