Signing-up for Games

Emails will be sent the week before the games for you to sign-up. Please select games and send an email back with your choices by TUESDAY of that week. Since referees may sign-up for the same games, keep in mind that you are not assigned the game until you see your name on the final schedule.

 Debbie Yatabe will be assigning recreational games and Club games. If you have any questions or need to update any of your contact information, please feel free to contact Debbie Yatabe at referee@vysl.org.

2012 Referee Grade 8 Classes

Class 1:
Dates: Mar 27, 29, Apr 3, 5 (Tu,Th)
Times: 6-10 pm
Location: Mar 27 Nut Tree Airport Conf Room, all other dates Courtyard Marriott (next to Olive Garden)

Class 2:
Dates: Jul 23, 25, 30, Aug 1 (M,W)
Times: 6-10 pm
Location: TBA

You must attend all four classes, if you cannot make a date, please do not sign-up for the class as you will not be allowed to take the test.

Test is given on the last day of class. You must pass the test to be certified.

This class is sponsored by VYSL, they are paying for the class. If you are going to referee for VYSL, then they will also cover the $40 first year certification fee. If you are not going to referee for the league, then you will have to pay the certification fee at the final class (if you pass the test).

This class is for the league to maintain a pool of referees for our recreational and club seasons. If you don't believe you can go out on the field and referee a game, please do not take a space in the class. I need referee's who will work during the season!

Link for Grade 8 Referee's to Renew Certification

This link is to the CNRA.NET website which is where Grade 8 referee's should go to renew their certification every year. Do not allow your certification to lapse or you will have to take the 16 hour class and pass the test again to get your Grade 8 certification back again.
