VYSL and VUSC has adopted the U.S. Youth Soccer Player Development Model and the U.S. Youth Soccer Coaches Manual as a training curriculum and coaching standard. The Player Development Model provides a training curriculum for age groups Under-6 to   Under-19. The curriculum is designed to serve as a standard to guide VYSL and VUSC coaches on how to effectively train our young athletes. The Coaching Manual is to be used as a guidebook and helpful resource to league coaches so they can be better equipped to coach youth soccer. Information about our training curriculum and coaching standard can be found under the "DEVELOPMENT" tab.

  • Coaches are required to keep official rosters, players cards, and medical release forms for each player on their roster during practices and match days. VYSL also requires each coach to have ready first aid, heat safety and concussion safety information forms.

  • Player /Coach passes will need to have a 1x1 picture of each player/coach affixed to each appropriate pass.
