VUSC Vipers U13 Girls Take 2nd at 2013 Tahoe CUFA Tournament!

Vipers place 2nd in Tahoe

The Vacaville United Soccer Club Vipers U13 Girls team competed in the Tahoe CUFA soccer tournament in South Lake Tahoe.  The Vipers started things off against a tough Ceres Earthquake FC team.  Ceres led early 2-0, but the Vipers controlled possession in the second half and were able to tie the game 2-2.  The Vipers would continue play against host, South Lake Tahoe Outlaws.  Both teams battled throughout the game but were unable to break through.  The game would end in a 0-0 tie.  The next day the Vipers would continue play against Natomas United.  The Vipers came out strong and were able to put in 4 goals and take the victory 4-0.  This game put the Vipers in the finals for a rematch against Ceres.

Both teams battled hard, and it was a tough, physical game.  Ceres were able to put in 2 goals to lead early.  The Vipers turned things up a notch and battled throughout the game just missing out on several opportunites.  The final would end 2-0 for Ceres with the Vipers taking second.  Good job Vipers!
